Mr. Tushar Garg’s career journey has given him a unique perspective and insight into the dynamics and challenges of both the private and the public sector. With an overall experience of 17 years, he considers himself fortunate to serve two different ends of the universe altogether. On one side, he has served the highest level of capitalism manifested at the Stock Exchanges in US, UK, Japan, China, HK, Singapore, Mumbai etc. and also the beginning levels of social systems i.e. serving the grassroots section of our population on the premise of Innovations stemming from them and eventually getting them on-boarded to a development journey, something critical for the world to claim and not just target Inclusivity. He has been actively involved in building and strengthening the collaboration and cooperation between India and various international stakeholders, such as governments, industry, academia, and civil society on the premise of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), an instrument deployed by nations and often referred as “Science Diplomacy”. He works towards facilitating the recognition and integration of grassroots and student innovations into the national and international development agenda. He has been involved in various Incubation initiatives viz. Business Development, Market Research, commercialization and Investment aspects of Innovation based enterprises and also focus on building Technology Infrastructure and Knowledge Systems required to enable the same. His work touches about a million lives annually by way of serving various functions at NIF. He also holds additional responsibilities of the Vigilance Officer and Public Information Officer (PIO) for the organization. A Management graduate from Symbiosis, Pune (2007) and a Computer Engineer in terms of qualification, prior to serving National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF) where he has completed 8 years already, Mr. Tushar Garg has also served Goldman Sachs & Co. for nearly 8.5 years across three different divisions viz. Asset Management, Operations and Technology and positioned himself as one of the most versatile professionals at the said international firm. During his tenure, he had opportunities to serve large Financial Institutions, Corporations, and Governments also including the Bretton Woods Institutions in matters related to Asset Management. He is well versed with Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) aspects of Investments.
