Dr Sheeraz Ahmad Alaie is an Innovation Policy Researcher with a strong academic and professional background with interest to understand the Science, Technology, Innovation and Public Policy interactions. He holds a Ph.D. in Science, Technology and Innovation Policy pursued from Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar. He also had a Post-Doctorate in Science Technology and Innovation Policy from DST-Center for Policy Research, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Dr Alaie has also multidisciplinary background in subjects, like, Life Sciences, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development, Innovation and Innovation System, Science Policy and Science, Society and Development at a larger context. Keeping expertise in agriculture innovation system, technology policy interactions and strategies for strengthening innovation led development, he has published many papers in highly reputed journals. Dr Alaie is currently working in the Impact Assessment and Public Policy Division at National Innovation Foundation, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He is particularly interested in how public policies can support technological innovation, strengthen innovation ecosystems while improving opportunities for researchers.
