Mohammad Raeesh Shekh, a Research Associate at the National Innovation Foundation (NIF), holds a doctoral degree in Microbiology. He had qualified for the CSIR-SRFship (Direct) fellowship, achieved an all India Rank of 309 in CEEB/MSc/BIT-2005, and scored a 94.16 percentile in GATE-2006. He actively participates in the Scouting Documentation and Database Management (SDDM) team, where he is deeply involved in various tasks crucial to NIF's operations. His responsibilities include entry processing, review, prior art search (PAS), and detailed PAS for Biennial and INSPIRE Awards MANAK competitions. He also takes charge of tasks related to the innovation portal's database, including content formatting and editing. Engaging in field visits to explore untapped locations for novel traditional knowledge (TK) and innovations, he is instrumental in documenting, verifying, and updating entries and intellectual property (IPR)-related records, with support from scouts and collaborators. He actively networks with individuals passionate about TK and innovations through workshops, meetings, and collaborations. He actively participates in the INSPIRE-Awards MANAK competition review process, both physically and virtually, while also addressing queries of teachers/educators related to INSPIRE awards. Also, he is involved in writing research articles with innovative concepts for prestigious, high-impact journals. He has authored ten research articles, five of which were published at NIF, resulting in a cumulative impact factor of 20.386 and 162 citations, with five articles indexed in SCI journals.
