In an interview with Archana Tiwari Nayudu, Editor- SME, Moneycontrol.com, Dr. R A Mashelkar, Chairperson, National Innovation Foundation shares his views on budding entrepreneurs and technology at the Festival of Innovation held at Rashtrapati Bhavan

“It has been an inspiring two days at the Festival of Innovation, the first day when we gave awards to grassroots innovators; we could witness minds of so many people who were willing to make a difference by their innovation. These innovators have created innovations which are entirely marketable. Today we have a joint venture formation between Nation Innovation Foundation and  Bharat Vikas Group (BVG) which will take these grassroots innovations forward into the market” adds  Dr. Mashelkar further

“I’m really happy to see that the young generation is so attracted to technology. The youth is looking into things deeply and doing their best to make technology available for the people who are in need.  They are working hard to blend affordability, quality and sustainability which is truly remarkable”, says Dr. Mashelkar

Dr. Mashelkar further says, “I believe innovation led growth has to be the mantra. The new technology that is coming is democratizing manufacturing and the whole ecosystem.  SME’s should look at all the breakthrough technologies like mobile internet, internet of things, automation of knowledge work, cloud computing and others in order to run hassle free”
