Technical and Administrative Positions at NIF 01-2023
National Innovation Foundation-India (NIF), an autonomous body of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India invites applications from highly motivated, initiative-driven and performance-oriented professionals for various scientific & technical positions (in Engineering, Biological Sciences, Veterinary, Agriculture, Management, Law (IPR) viz. JRF, SRF, RA, Project Associates and Finance & Administrative positions (Managers/ Associates).
(i) For Scientific and Technical Positions
The qualifications and emoluments would be as per Govt. / funding agencies norms. The DST’s norms are available at the following two links.

Roles and responsibilities, in general, would include execution of various elements of the incubation cycle as applicable to Science and Technology based innovations. This includes, but it is not limited to, fieldwork for technical documentation of innovations, Prior Art Search so as to ascertain novelty and innovative elements, conducting field research, product development, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection, building partnerships and coordination with partner entities / institutions, commercial & social dissemination of innovations; implementation of specific schemes / Project activities.
(ii) For Administration and Finance Positions
For positions in the Finance and Administration departments at Gandhinagar (Gujarat), qualifications shall include CA/ICWA/CFA/ Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance and accounts, Human Resource Management, Public administration and other related subjects with minimum two years’ experience in handling administration, finance, store and public procurement (purchase) etc. in reputed institutions/companies/organisations. Experience of using latest technology platforms like Government E-Marketplace (GeM), Public Finance Management System (PFMS), Treasury Accounts is desirable but not mandatory. Fresh MBA graduates from reputed B-schools / Universities are also encouraged to apply.
