Popularly known as 'Aunty 72' because of her age, Andheri resident Primla Hingorani, is all set and excited to participate in the DNA iCAN Run on March 25, for the third consecutive time. She had earlier participated in the 5-km fun run and will be running the fun run this year as well.

For more than a decade, Hingorani has been actively participating in various local marathons in the city.

Speaking about her love for running, Hingorani said, "I run to stay fit and for my health. Running gives me inner satisfaction and I get to meet new people and make friends. I don't run to cross the finish line first, I run to enjoy. Because of my daily exercise, I don't have any kind of health issues. I want to stay fit and enjoy my retirement."

Hingorani who loves walking or running on a daily basis manages to clock a timing of 60 minutes for a 5 km run.

Speaking about her daily routine, she added, "I start my day by doing aerobics exercise and walk at least two to five km daily. As a retired person, I volunteer for various social initiatives."

While she has been individually participating for the last two years, this year, she will be encouraging other women too to participate for the DNA iCAN Run.

"According to me, of the 24 hours that we have, every person especially senior citizens should exercise at least for an hour. Walking is free, people should look after their health and meet new people. I will be encouraging other women friends of mine to come forward and participate in the marathon. Age is not a bar. We have women from all age in our group."
