Improved device for cleaning and fluffing cotton
The students have observed the working of cotton cleaning and fluffing device and suggested improvements during Children's Creativity workshop by SRISTI. In this improved device, the input flatbed in original machine has been replaced by a slanting duct to ensure zero spillage of raw cotton thereby preventing wastage. On the output side the curtain has been replaced by a sliding door to prevent the escape of cotton fibres through curtain slits. Accumulated raw cotton on the input side can now be cleared using brush into the duct, preventing hand injuries for the operator.
