Cross-platform mobile app for encouraging tourism in NE India
Bilash Dutta
Cachar, Assam

IGNITE 2016 - 2016

According to Bilash, northeast India has the potential to become one of the most favoured tourist destinations in the world. We only need to spread more and more knowledge about the region. He has thought of a cross-platform, mobile app-based game (running on Android, Windows and iOS), designed in a manner that would tempt the players to visit the region. The game will engage players in a mission set in the background of Northeast India, or can be a simple mind game in which the players get information about the region at regular intervals. Also, there needs to be a mechanism (by either using Facebook or Google Plus) in the game which can help various stakeholders (tourists, travel agencies, tourist guides) come together and interact with one another so that everyone is benefitted.

Bilash wants to ensure that the game is available in all major platforms. If implemented, this would serve the function of acting as a bridge between the outer world and NE region. His biggest inspirations are Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. He desires to become a teacher who would help shape the next generation of children towards a better society and nation.
