At National Innovation Foundation (NIF), we believe in the power of transparency and openness in the decision-making process. Hence, the provisions of the Right to Information (RTI) Act 2005 have been implemented in its full spirit. In our best efforts to disseminate information to the applicants of RTI, following officers have been designated as Public Information Officer (PIO) and Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO) under Section 5 of the RTI Act.

If you require any information, please write to us with the details sought, along with a prescribed fee of ₹ 10 by way of an Indian Postal Order/Banker's Cheque/Demand Draft in favour of National Innovation Foundation. You also have the option of depositing this amount in cash in the Account's Office of NIF at Ahmedabad

    Along with all its publications/reports mentioned NIF maintains databases of ideas/innovations and traditional knowledge electronically. The information in these databases, unless common knowledge and widely known to public, is not accessible to general public because of intellectual property reasons. Also before sharing any information (idea/innovation/traditional knowledge) to any third party, explicit written consent of the knowledge provider (innovator/traditional knowledge provider) as mentioned by him in the Prior Informed Consent form is considered.

    Particulars of facilities available to citizens for obtaining information, including the working hours of a library or reading room, if maintained for public use

    Citizens can visit National Innovation Foundation - India from 10 am to 6 pm on working days of the week and can meet Public Information Officer, Assistant Public Information Officer or National Innovation Coordinators/ Chief Innovation Officer.
