Hadasha Rongmei of Lorna School, Dimapur has been chosen for the prestigious Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Awards 2015. The award ceremony will be held on November 30, 2015, during which President of India, Pranab Mukherjee will give away the awards in Ahmedabad. She was among the 40 students of 27 districts from 18 states selected for the award for their ideas/innovations. List of the winners was released by National Innovation Foundation-India (NIF) on October 15 (Dr. Abdul Kalam’s birthday).

Hadasha, daughter of R. Kalanbon and Thuijiliu from Rongmei Christian Church Dimapur, idea of 'spectacle microscope' won her the prestigious national award. She will be credited as being the 'Scout' for that particular innovation/traditional knowledge in records.
