Dr. Vivek Kumar, FES, FAPT, has more than twenty years of experience in Grassroots Innovations and Ethnobotanical explorations across the country. Presently working as Scientist F, Sectional head of Scouting, Documentation and Database Management department (SDDM) & Coordinator Eastern region of National Innovation Foundation-India and coordinating with various institutions and organizations for mobilizing the entries for the national competition as well as the dissemination of the grassroots innovations. Also, coordinating the Children's creativity program in the eastern region. Dr. Kumar is also one of the youngest recipients of Dr S K Jain medal in 2006 given by the Society of Ethnobotanists, Lucknow, and published 50 research papers and articles in international and national journals as well as one US patent to his credit. Also in the committees as an expert member of the different incubation programs in the eastern region.
