Dr. Nitin Maurya, holding a Doctorate from the University of Delhi, currently leads the Dissemination and Social Diffusion Department at the National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), where he also oversees incubation activities in its Jammu & Kashmir, North India, and North-East India Regional Offices in Srinagar, Dehradun, and Guwahati respectively. With a career spanning over eighteen years in innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge management, Dr. Maurya is deeply committed to driving societal change through grassroots innovation. His primary focus is on harnessing the potential of grassroots innovations to address local challenges and create livelihood opportunities. Dr Maurya has extensively travelled across and worked in all the States and Union Territories of the country, building case studies on grassroots innovators, identifying technological interventions, networking with eco-system partners or sharing his learnings with others. Through his work at NIF, he has helped a number of grassroots innovators get national level recognition, technical and financial support for their innovation, for starting or scaling up their grassroots innovation based enterprises. Advising various Govt. Departments and Institutions on innovations, he has also published nationally and internationally. At the NIF, he has contributed to over sixty-five innovation compendiums, National award books and annual reports. He actively contributes to Faculty/Innovation/Entrepreneurship Development programs, imparting his knowledge and expertise to nurture the next generation of innovators. He has delivered a number of key note lectures and invited talks at IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Guwahati, NITs, LBSNAA and at various other national and international institutes & forums. Dr Maurya has also served as an adjudicator in the international BRICS Innovation Competition and various other Innovation & Start up competitions. As a young student and researcher he has also been a National Talent Search Scholar (NCERT) and Junior & Senior Research Fellow (ICMR). A TEDx speaker, Dr. Maurya embraces a philosophy of lifelong learning, viewing every interaction and activity as a potential learning opportunity.
