Dr. Neha Tavker completed her Master’s in Industrial Chemistry followed by M.Phil.- Ph.D. in Nano Sciences from the Central University of Gujarat. Her research work focused on semiconductor-anchored cellulose nanocomposites. She has authored several research papers that are published in reputed international SCI journals, accumulating a cumulative impact factor of 46. Her h-index stands at 9, with 4 patents granted. Currently, she leads the Publications and Communication division at NIF-India, where she is responsible for overseeing the curation, collation and dissemination of a wide range of content including periodicals, coffee table book, newsletter articles, podcasts, voice over scripts and digital media. Concurrently, from the multitude of scientific ideas received in organizations database, she has selectively undertaken potential projects aligned with her domain expertise, in line with NIF’s mandate.
Also, she proactively coordinates with in-house graphic designers, video editor and IT support team to produce cohesive and impactful content ensuring smooth execution of requisite tasks and timely procurement of relevant assets. She manages the organization's communication strategy across platforms—ranging from major website content to social media engagement—ensuring that the spirit of innovation is consistently reflected and amplified. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, she ensures that every piece of content not only informs but inspires. She is actively exploring the use of AI to digitize grassroots technologies, enhance data interpretation, and streamline content creation for greater impact and efficiency.
Before joining here at NIF-India, Dr. Neha served as an Assistant Professor at a private university. At NIF-India, she began her journey in the Value Addition R&D division as a scientific writer. She played a pivotal role in curating and developing content for the book India Innovates, a compilation celebrating the stories of grassroots innovators. She has also contributed significantly to the INSPIRE MANAK team by mentoring students, evaluating award-winning projects, and helping strengthen innovation at the grassroots level. In her role under Science Diplomacy, she facilitated international collaborations, integrating grassroots and student innovations into broader development dialogues. She also has handled Knowledge Management activities, ensuring streamlined documentation, coordination, and dissemination of institutional knowledge. Her work contributes to enhance institutes visibility and impact, both nationally and internationally, through well-crafted narratives and timely communication.
