Dr. Nitin Maurya, who holds a Doctorate from the University of Delhi, currently leads the Dissemination and Social Diffusion Department at the National Innovation Foundation - India (NIF). He also oversees incubation activities across the North India, in Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh, through the regional offices in NOIDA and Srinagar respectively. Additionally, he heads the national-level activities related to the INSPIRE-MANAK program at NIF, a flagship initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school students.
With a career spanning over twenty years in innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge management, Dr. Maurya is deeply committed to driving societal change through grassroots solutions. His primary focus lies in harnessing local potential to address regional challenges and create sustainable livelihood opportunities. Dr. Maurya has travelled extensively across every State and Union Territory in India, building case studies, identifying technological need-gaps, and networking with ecosystem partners to introduce and scale impactful ideas/innovations.
Through his work at NIF, he has helped numerous innovators secure national recognition, as well as the technical and financial support necessary to launch or scale their enterprises. Beyond his field work, he advises various government departments and has contributed to over sixty-five innovation compendiums, national award books, and annual reports at the NIF.
An active mentor in faculty and entrepreneurship development programs, Dr. Maurya has delivered keynote lectures and talks at prestigious institutions including IIMs, IITs, NITs, and LBSNAA. Internationally, he has been invited to speak at Tianjin University of Finance and Economics (China), the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway), as well as at multilateral forums such as BRICS and ASEAN. Dr. Maurya has served as an adjudicator for the international BRICS Innovation Competition and various other startup challenges. His academic foundation includes being a National Talent Search (NTS) Scholar, topper in the Masters of Science degree program and an ICMR Junior & Senior Research Fellow. A TEDx speaker and lifelong learner, he views every interaction as an opportunity for growth and discovery.
