Dr. Mahima holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Kerala, followed by a master of philosophy (M.Phil Biotechnology) and doctoral degree (Ph.D. Biotechnology) from Bharathiar University, Tamil Nadu. Her research investigates into the “Character evolution and molecular phylogeny of Ficus L. (Moraceae) from Southern India”, resulting in eight publications in SCI journals and submitted 250 sequences in the GenBank. She has been honored with prestigious awards like the "IBOL Travel Award-Norway,” “The Chinese University of Hong Kong Travel Award- Hong Kong,” and the "IPSC Travel Award." Dr. Mahima is qualified in GATE Lifescience and UGC-NET and previously served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Siddha Central Research Institute, Ministry of AYUSH, directing on DNA Barcoding for Siddha Medicinal Plants. Currently, she is working as a Research Associate-III in the Inspire Team, she contributes to the Inspire-Manak program, showcasing her dedication to scientific advancement and mentoring aspiring researchers.
